Life Coaching Packages
A teen coach is a youth cheerleader, supporter and guide. Teen coaching is like adult life coaching but a teen coach works at an adolescent’s level.
All teen coaching is conducted one-on-one in a face-to-face format. The purpose is to provide an educational, caring, encouraging, and supportive environment to allow all clients to express themselves, to develop their confidence and sense of control, and to learn to live life with passion.
Who am I? Self-esteem, Self-confidence, Values, and Goals
Many self-esteem, self-confidence, independence, and behavioural issues arise from a lack of identity. Answering the question “Who am I?” is one of the most important tasks of the adolescent years. Most teens and some young adults do not yet know how to describe themselves, what is important to them, and how to detach themselves from external factors. Without this foundation of self-knowledge, they are likely to base who they are and what they do on failures, successes, and other experiences. This life coaching package teaches clients not to base who they are on external factors but to use their intimate knowledge of themselves to guide them when making choices. Body Image for Teens
Teens, both male and female are bombarded with ideal body images. Unfortunately, many of these images are neither real nor healthy. This program teaches clients to scrutinize what they see on television, in magazine ads, and in everyday life. The aim of this program is for clients to reduce their body dissatisfaction levels by decreasing negative self-talk regarding their body in daily life. With a new appreciation for their bodies they will increase their self-esteem, respect themselves, and make wiser decisions regarding their bodies. *Note this program does not focus on or treat eating disorders. Teen stress control
Today, more than ever youth is experiencing stress. The stress they experience, however, is somewhat different from the stress teens experienced in the past decades. In addition to searching for an identity, teens are faced with materialistic distractions, pressure to wear certain types of clothing, academic pressures and career decisions, intense athletic competitions, taking on too many activities at a time, conflict, and pressure to try alcohol, drugs, and sex. Unfortunately, teens are often not taught how to handle these stresses. In this life coaching package, teens will learn how psychological and physical factors can contribute to their level of stress and how they can use these same factors to eliminate the stress they experience. In addition, clients will discover how tools such as time management and fitness can help them deal with stress.
Clients will learn:
- The personalized triggers of stress
- How to deal with others in a calmer way
- How to bring down their stress levels
- Learn how to perceive situations and things from multiple perspectives
Media Influence, Peer Pressure, and Persuasion
It is no secret that youth is easily influenced by media, friends, and other adults. The major reason they are easily persuaded is because they have not yet formed an identity. As a result, teens turn to external influences to help them decide who they are. With this uncertainty of who they are they are easily persuaded to do things they would not otherwise do. This program is designed to empower teens by giving them the tools necessary to question what they see and hear and to make them aware how media, peers, and adults can negatively and positively influence them.
